Brrr, it’s cold!
The snow is beginning to fall on the pass, and the weather is definitely getting a nip to it. I hope that you had a wonderful week off, and a great Thanksgiving! There has been a slight change on our club meeting days and times. If you received my last newsletter, it incorrectly stated the meeting day of the Newspaper Club. Their meeting is actually on Thursdays from 3:15-3:45. The Sign Language Club meets on Mondays from 3:15-3:45. I am sorry for the confusion. Please send a signed note in with your child so that we know they can take the bus home. This week, the students have begun learning about the 5 themes of geography. They have started an assignment that is due on the 12th of this month, collecting information on the city of Oakridge, its people, and how it came to be. This is a past history and current times project. The students are being encouraged to speak with other people, especially family, about this subject. When they are done with one of the project options, a poster, an essay, or a slideshow, then they will be presenting a short, 3 minute speech on the subject. I think it is going to be a lot of fun!
