Wow! I can’t believe that one month has gone by. The class has been having a lot of fun summarizing stories, retelling them in their own words, and painting pictures to depict what they thought a poem portrayed to them personally. It has been interesting.
The students have been introduced to a new program this year called “self managers”. They have to maintain 3 points for behavior in all their classes, and be determined by their reading, math, and homeroom teachers to be a self manager. After they have applied, if they are chosen by the Principal, they get privileges such as leaving the classroom early for transitions, the self manager hall pass, and classroom benefits. It’s really awesome and we are all super excited about when our class will get their first self managers.
Fantastic job on the attendance this week. I hope everyone stays well, and we have another week with great attendance. J
