We are midway through the first term of school!
It doesn’t seem possible, yet here we are, almost done with the 5th week of school! The students are being expected to take more personal responsibility. That is actually the attribute we are focusing on for Student of the Month in October. I am so pleased with how the students have been doing. They have been improving every day. On a note of personal responsibility, I am expecting that the students be to class on time, using their frequent 5 minute transition periods to get their supplies for their next class, use the restroom, and get drinks. I have water coolers in the classroom for the students to use to refill their water bottles. At the beginning of the year, all students were provided with water bottles. A lot of the water bottles have been misplaced, so the students have been asking to use cups, or leave the classroom frequently to get drinks. They have been informed that I will no longer provide cups, and that they are to take the responsibility to get drinks during transition only. In emergencies bathroom breaks are permitted. I am still trying to connect with everyone on Class Dojo, and do not have cell or emails for everyone yet. If you have a cell number or email please send it to me so that I may add you to my Class Dojo and be even better at communicating with you. Important Dates and Upcoming Events:
